As an introduction to the study of ocean life, we made a field trip to Crown Center's Sea Life aquarium. The students enjoyed all of the brightly colored fish and the chocolate chip sea stars from Indonesia. The sea turtle recovery tank and the clown fish were a hit as well. We learned that there are over 2000 documented types of jellyfish. It was a treat to be able to see ocean animals right in the center of Kansas City.
